Hi, I want to get 7800GS and this is my PC http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...docname=c00068941&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

Is it going to work in it? And is it worth putting that advanced video card, I mean will it work to the fullest in my system? I know my power supply is weak so I will be getting Antec SmartPower 350 or 400. I read on the web they will fit HP's small cases.

Secondly, which brand to get? If you look at newegg BFG slower model cost more and have more reviews and happy users, while XFX has higher speeds costs less and people's feedbacks are poor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...Ntk=all&N=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

Should be fine as long as the power supply can hande it.

I'm not sure what you mean about feedback: there's only one bad user review about the XFX cards that I could see, and I suspect they've screwed up their drivers if it's running as badly as they claim.

Odd... they list the computer as an Athlon(64) XP, but that's not an Athlon64... it's a 32-bit Athlon XP.

Anyway, I've said this a hundered times and admittedly it's my own opinion, but the 7800 costs more than it's worth if it's more than $250 (and it's closer to $300 to buy).

Spend under $200 and get a nice 6800 GS or X800 GTO in AGP.
