Ok, I'm ready to buy a new vid card but have a simple question. Im sure everyone here is familiar with newegg. My question is this... on the pictures of the 6600GT PCI-E vid cards I see no spot for this "special" pcie power connection.

I have a 6600GT 128mb card AGP that uses a normal power connection like for a HDD or Optical drive. Im hearing that these pcie connections are 6 pin connectors? No where in the descriptions of the cards or the pics show any need for a power supply to have these special connections. I will not be using SLI EVER, as that is just way too $$.

Thanks for your help guys!!!

PCI-Express slots can carry more power than AGP slots. The 6600GT uses a little less power than the PCI-Express slot can provide, so the PCI-Express card doesn't need the added 6-pin power connector.

It also uses just a little bit more power than many AGP slots can provide, therfor the AGP version has the 4-pin molex connector.
