What is the difference between these 2 PSU's?

Technically and physically they look the same....

I want one for when I get my A8R32-MVP to replace my A8R-MVP in a couple weeks.

Maybe the specs were rigged...

besides the price and 100w difference, there probably isnt a difference............. are you trying to decide which to buy and expecting a difference??

Well, I am considering the 600w, but thought it would be better to have 4 rails aroung 19 or 20amps, this one has 4 16amp 12v rails. I looked at the 700w and noticed exactly same specs for more money!

BTW, anyone seen first hand this new line for FSP? Is it built upon same quality standards, better or not quite as good?

OK, maybe if I titled it Power Supplies, Lies and Sex I would have gotten more informed replies... [/shrugs]

I have an Antec TP 430 and 550 watt PSU's, but my Opteron 175 and X1800XT overclocked hits a wall at 2.7GHz, and I suspect the TPII 550 PSU might be part of the problem.

Interesting, even FSPs website doesn't note much difference besides wattage.

Except that the website notes a -12V rating for the 700 and a -12A for the 600. Must be a typo.

Superfluous fluff?????

I have that FX-600 great PSU BTW! Its currently running my opty 165 @ 2.6 with 2 XFX 7800gt's, 4 HDD's, 2x cd-roms, and 5xfans. Thing runs very cool and quiet with the system OC'ed. One Note though, the blue leds on the fan for PSU doesn't work, but its a great PSU.

Voltages are really solid, maybe a little flux now and then ( only because of constant brown outs!)
For running 2 7800gt's in SLI that require 28-32amp rail this PSU is under rated. I think they got their info mixed up.

If there is any more info I could give you RichPLS let me know I break the case open for ya!

The only differance I can see according to the manuel is that the total output on the FX-600 is not to exceed 580w and 680w for the FX-700.
Everything else is the same. Its just that one can handle a little more load than the other!

I also read that the 4 rails can dynamically adjust power balance so that all 60 amps can channel through one rail if need configured ridiculously.
I think for assurrance, I am going with the 700watt epsilon.
It costs $170 at newegg.
