Where should i set my threshold for the mobo?

it currently runs at 48c with idle load.
the cpu is watercooled at 38c idle.

i heard the a8n32 tends to run a little hotter so is 48 okay? can i easily go up to 55c or should i worry? should is get a NB passive cooler?

my n7800gt 512 dual is kinda large and develop a lot of heat. i'm gonna have to get two chipsets water block. but that wont affect the modo heat.. right?

i'm using probe II for the read.

thanks,

koi

The sensor for the Mobo is in the southbridge chipset. Since you are water cooling get a waterblock for it and you will see the problems go away. I think with the 7800 GTX 512 cards the heat vents out the back. So it should not be creating that much for the southbridge. In my system I have a 7800 gt and my exhaust is right on the southbrige. I was able to lower my temps about 5c just by putting another 120mm intake at the front of my case. The upper threshold is 60c for this board according to asus tech support. So 55c is a good temp to get a warning.
