Hi everybody,

I like read Video Card Benchmark. I would like just to be able to use all "custom" (or other) stuff that Tom's Hardware use. So I can make my own Benchmark and compare.

Example
At this link:
http://www20.graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20041004/vga_charts-03.html

Unreal Tournament 2004 Custom Timedemo
Max Details/Quality
Map: Assault-FallenCity
FSAA / AF set by driver

1-I would like to have this "Custom Timedemo"
2-I would like to see (screenshot) settings (video, audio, etc)

Thanks and have a nice day!

Hi,
3DMark is not sufficient. I would like to have ALL same benchmark that Tom's Hardware use.
So I can compare not just with 3DMark.

I think make a link to download their custom benchmark would be just fine.

Have a nice day!

Odds are it's not happening. If THG or any other hardware review site made their internal testing tools public then the hardware manufacturers would have the ability to optimize their games to perform better on those specific tests, but not necessarilty in the rest of the game.

ATi and nVidia have both demontsrated that they are not above doing this with 3DMark and other testing tools (and they got caught, were publicly embarrased, and there were huge flame wars, it was great!). Makes me wonder how much they get away with that no one ever catches.

Lars did make the HL2 timedemos available, as did Anandtech and [H]. problem is, with each steam engine update, a new timedemo is needed, so Lars said he is just using a downloaded one now instead of rerecording their own "THG" version each time.
