a single card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?DEPA=0&type=&description=7900gtx&Submit=ENE&Ntk=all&N=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

thats the list

the gtx, its only $500-550 too, I will check after school for the benchmarks, hopefully. the funny thing is that we all thought the 1900xtx would be the best for price, then they release a new card which costs less, and possibly will perform more. we can all safely feel bad for all those with 7800's, thank god ati didnt make hte 1900xt cost less than the 1800xt

That site has no specs of any kind. I find that a bit odd.

I see several 7900's available at New Egg... from $529 to $599...

But WHERE ARE THE BENCHMARKS? I find it really odd you can go out and buy one of these and benchmarks aren't all over the net. Very strange indeed.

Finally,

and the single card link doesn't have any specs, sometimes they dont post some of the cards core and mem clocks in newegg, you can check the list to get some kind of an idea.

I am waiting for the reviews. But i am guessing, just guessing i might be totally off, these can outperform ati x1800xt and x1900, maybe x1900xt, but i dont think they will outperform x1900xtx. At least the ones at 650, but i guess evgas overclocked ones can beat xtx. And i guess at two card config, xtx and gtx would be about the same, probably gtxs would beat ati about 5 fps in fear, but atis would beat nvidia by 20 fps at half life 2.

Dont go laughing at me if these are bad predictions, i was just guessing.

I know man, I like the Evga with 690/1760mhz. I it's freaking awesome just to look at this cards. It should be Tom's first order and I can't wait to see the testing and benchmarks on this cards in SLI!!! :D 8O

But the most important thing is that the price is very competitive!!!!!! You can't beat that especially with the 7900GT from Evga!!! :D :D :D

Yeah, that eVGA is something. And i love the brand. I have use two ega cards 5500 , and 6600 GT agp, they both work really good. I bet the 7900s are really good.

I wonder if the prices of 7800 AGPs are going down now, i might upgrade my computer.

Do we know of any other places (online or otherwise) that are selling that eVGA 7900GTX?

Or any places other than newegg selling the 7900s at all?

Try ZipZoomFly.com or just go to Pricegrabber.com and search it and it tells you from the lowest price from diffirent online retailers. But it's selling out fast already in it's second day. :D Just give a week or so to be more avialable everywhere.

No man, this won't be at Ebay for maybe a week or so. The manufacturer right now are shipping it to the more high priority sellers like Newegg and alike. But I don't mind pawning this at Ebay for say, $150!!!hahaha

I'll just keep on dreaming or saving up more cash. :)

Yup, I checked around 1:00 o'clock this morning and they were all still avialable and once everybody is waking up and buying this sh!t like there's no tommorow, all is gone. Luckily for me...I couldn't afford one right now so I don't have to worry about the cards being out of stock.

I found another site that has 7900 GTs and GTXs in stock.

here

They're a reputable site, I've ordered from them before. I'm not sure how many they have in stock, but order away.

That pretty cool but like I said I don't have the means of funding to aquire this equipment. Maybe I should open a yard sell or something to get me more cash faster. :p

Or you can be like half of the chicks in college and pay for it with sex!

Ewww  I feel bad for the guys that marry the "buffet" chicks.

Or sell your existing card and save at the same time... Quicker no?

I find it interesting that other sites (including tom's) put the cards at more of a tie, w/ ati winning the newer games like fear and Nv taking the older and oGL games... Yet you read that hardOCP review and they show Nv to pwn them all.

Reading the details of some of the reviews shows that they did not even test the cards w/ the same settings?! Like running an ati card w/o AA but higher AF while Nv is w/ some AA and lower AF... wth? how can that be a comparrison at all?

I am not saying that one or the other should win, I am just saying that it is crap that they would do that type of test while most other sites keep it at least w/ equal settings when they can. I realize that ati and Nv use diff types of AA and AF but keeping as close to the same settings should be required, and then if one chose a more/less detailed AA routine the numbers would reflect that (maybe?)

I dunno, just seems stupid.

Great point. It does seem like each maker has a high point as to what their card can do. (Like Nvidia and OpenGL and ATI with Direct3D) But I wonder when their will be one standard, you know when all the smart guys like Sweeny and Carmack get together and decide for one unified code! That would be rad!
