I'm trying to connect my 4150 to my linux server but the logins won't
authenticate. I've tried both Resco and PocketLAN.

Doing some Googling seems to indicate this is a known problem but I've
yet to find out if there's a solution.

Anyone?

Thanks

I've got a h5555 that connects to SAMBA shares without problems. Are you
running a firewall by any chance? And how are you addressing the shares as
\\myserver\c or as http://192.168.1.1c ? If you install vxUtil on your
4150 can you ping the Samba server from the 4150 by name and by IP address?

Thanks for the advice - I'm already tooled up with Vx and other things.
There's no firewall between the PDA and Linux server and in all other
respects the network works fine - I'm even using PockeTTY to make ssh
connections to the Linux server.

I tried direct IP addressing for the sharees - no joy, but then I
deleted everything and tried again with \\caesar\docs and it worked!!
Mind you, my joy was short-lived because when I tried again later it
wouldn't authenticate again - I will resume my investigations later.

Is the name of your server in the hosts table ?
The name of your PDA doesn't contain any special characters (even _ is
forbidden) ?
