This is meant to be an informative post, so let's keep this thread civil...

Anandtech tested the performance differences between the two BIOS versions.

Ultimately, anything ANYONE says about AM2 versus Conroe (Or conroe versus ANYTHING) is useless until conroe comes in for 3rd party testing, so please spare us.

Agreed. But you have got to admit that this " Benchmark" could be best described as a marketing promo. ( trying to keep from putting beanch & marketing together..lol) with a small taste of whats to come...hopefully!

Yes, "Benchmarketing" is one of my favorite terms.

Honestly, I take the fact that they even had and AMD box a bigger sign of things to come than the benchmarks themselves.

A year ago, there were few AMD processors they could put next to an Intel and beat, even with severe tweaking.

IDF is a 3-day long commercial though ;)
