Hi guys, I got a question for all the L33T Comp dudez...

AMD Athlon 64 4400+

or

Intel Pentium II 333MHz

I want to get a new CPU for my awesome gaming rig, gonna have a VooDoo5 5500 64MB SLI AGP Video Card and 256MB of RAM, killer system. All I need is a good CPU, point me in the right direction and I shall commence the fragging ;) .

An expert like you should not ask a question like that, what happened to you MadModMike. BTW what a nice card you got.

as a real question, the P2 would underpower the card, and the AMD would overpower it

thats one sweet card

so what is it really you want to know?

BTW that wouldnt be the old Clamath 350nm 2.8v P2? if so its one of the worst P6 chips ever made!!!! 40+w of heat at 333MHZ!!!!!! they thought it was hot in its day!!

There is a "report" button on every post that PM's the moderators - of course you need to be specific as to what you are complaining about. Some spam and fanboyism is to be expected. But if you feel that a post is a violation of the TERMS OF SERVICE, then report it.

As a moderator, I don't mind "spirited debate", but, hopefully, it doesn't degenerate into abusive flame wars. Moderators are not here to arbitrate or "referee" technical discussions, just minimize the abusive conduct of some.

P2 will destroy the X2 all day.

Report button noted :)

BTW- obscenity and Porn-vulgarity does not need to be defined before we can see it as inappropriate. Talking about "heads, ashols and the like in a CPU forum, when it clearly doesnt have any relationship). i believe the mods can figure that on there own,...or cant they??

"User agrees not to post material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense."

Moderators don't babysit every forum. We rely on members to report violations/inappropriate conduct. If you see it and don't report it, then you share some of the blame.

Dude, this is a voluntary position - I have a day job. 8O

Yes it is a sweet card, it has 2 chips onboard in the first Scan Line Interleave (SLI). I got it for free workin' at GoodWill a few months back, the driver disc was broken and the card is over 12" long, haha.

What I really wanna know is why everybody is taking an interest in me, I guess they're jealous that I have a personal space heater and it doesn't double as my CPU 8).
