I just updated the BIOS version of my ASUS pv800d-x from the original revison to latest in the hope that it would add vcore. Previously @ stock CPU speeds i was gettin 21 degrees c idle. Now I'm getting 38 degrees C idle. What the hell happened?
From 21 - 43 just by updating the BIOS is with Motherboard Monitor and ASUS Probe 2 8O
I tried to revert back to the first revision using the ASUS AFLASH.EXE utilty but the boot disk just gives me errors...
I honestly wouldn't worry about it. Reach your hand in there and touch the HS. Is it hotter than it was? Course, you would have had to check it before the upgrade.
This kind of thing really doesn't get my panties in a bunch, but that's just me.
