hy,
I doubt about changing the northchipset. i got a 945g pro, and now iwant to overlock more, so iwant to change a bigger HSF and fan for north chipset. But there is some plastic-rivet locking the HSF, i couldn't put it off...
any advices for these problem???
thanks

You've not said what board you've got but usually you'll have to squeeze the two halfs of those plastic posts together and get it through the hole, usually after cutting yourself for the second time they'll eventually come out. :D

Probably worth noting that if it's not worth doing unless you're certain that the northbridge cooling is the reason for your overclocking celing, there are so many other reasons you can't clock that little bit more.

have you tired removing the mother board from the case and removing it from the other side?
you'll most likely need to remove the motherboard from the case to install the new hsf also.
