7800GT or 7600GT

I can't find any benchmarks comparing the two and i was just wondering how much better the 7800 is than the 7600 ?

it's a good question, but the 7800 gt(110nm) is faster because of 20 pixel shader pipelines and 16 ROPS. the 7600 ( 90nm) is higher clockspeed , but has only 12 pixel shader pipes and 8 ROPS. but it should be pretty close though.

Better value by far is the 7600gt, but if you can afford the $300 for a 7800gt, buy a 7900gt.

the 7600 GT is faster than my 6800 GS! hmm, time to upgrade again, lol.

plus it's cooler , quieter, and consumes less power too. 8)
