from what I've heard through friends and other people I get that dual cores are better simply because there is 2 processors on one chip so it splits the work..
Ive also heard that one processor is for background things and one is for whatever your doing at the time..
Essentially yes, your right. Dual cores do take advantage of being able to multi task and run multiple apps at one time. They seem to make things run smoother.
