biostar tforce6100 mobo
512mb of ram one stick of ROSWELLI AND another of KINGSTON
amdathlon 3000+
soundblaster
Seagate 120 gb harddrive
nec dvd/cdrom/cdrw THINGY forgot the name of the piece this is
3 120mm fans
and fsp 400watt psu
(not sure what to do about vid card)
don't know which one to get thiers a whole bunch of new ones
i play FEAR Quake4 and Americas Army i want a good card aswell price range is 250$
newegg actually has the x850xt for under 200 bucks, which is tempting if you dont need 2 dvi ports.
the one by sapphire thats clocked higher here is oos, which is unfortunate, but theres also this one here that is tempting. 16 pipes for a good bit under 200 bucks is not a bad deal by any means!
i can pull out my duron 1800 and still do what im doing on my a64 4000, web picture editing and cs along with cs:s while getting over 30 FPS in cs:s on med settings.
dont tell me 754 is a bad structure, he isnt looking for a high 3d mark score to boost his ego.

yeah but for the same price you get dual channel memory and dual core support so WHY THE HELL NOT

dam noob
you seem to be missing one MAJOR point "whats wrong with this setup besides its a 754 socket (mom is noob) "
his mother is making him get this socket set, he isnt asking for you preference.
for your video card get a 7600gt and spend the extra money on more or better ram (1gig or more is best) Corsair Value Select is great stuff(stay away from noname brands if u can)
get a better brand motherboard like epox, asus, or dfi
if you are planning on upgrading that system in the future, make sure you get a PSU that is high quality like an Antec truepower
If you can get a socket 939 motherboard it is the best chice just because the price isn't much higher and you have the ability to upgrade to dual core, SATA II, and maybe SLI or Crossfire depending on which one u get
