I was looking to purchase a new graphics card to be ready for Windows Vista and to just future proof my new system I plan to build. I was looking in the ATI Radeon X1800 range or the Radeon X850 area as well. I would like to keep the price in the 200.00 to 300.00 range if possible. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Most of the X1800 range will be discontinued, and the X1900 range will last much longer. Since the Nvidia 7900 series have hit the shelves, ATI will soon be reducing the prices on their high-end cards like the X1900XT. They are still a bit pricey now, but give it a month, and they should go down and be more affordable. If you want value for money and you want it now, go for Nvidia on the 7900GT... but if you want the benefit of X1900 performance on shader heavy games and such, wait for a little bit and keep an eye on those prices.

I Agree That 7800GT is On Awesome Card , But Now Go For 7900GT as it has The Same Performance Of The 7800GTX and The Price Of 7800GT
