Hi all,

I've put together my first system and all is working together. The problem is i'm trying to install windows 7 64 bit system builders home premium. It's going to go on Corsair the 64GB SSD.

My system info is below:
The rest of my components are listed below:
LIAN LI A71F
3 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9
1 x Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive
I7-2600K
ASUS SATA 24X DVD Burner
XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit Video Card
XFX Black Edition 750W 80+ SILVER Modular PSU
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Noctua NH-D14

I keep getting this error when i try to install windows: Windows could not format a partitition on disk 0. Th error occured while preparing the partition selected for installation. The BIOS screen recognizes my SSD. I've tried deleting the partitions and trying to load the OSD to the remaining partition, but still get the same error. Worse after i restart the partition reappears. Can anyone please help---thank you in advance!!

Solution
You have to create the disc from the ISO, of course, but once that is done, you boot from the disc and with a couple of keystrokes, you'll be wiping the drive.

okay tried the DOD single pass DBAN...i noticed that the partition did not appear when i started up my computer again for windows....unfortunately i still get the same "Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the partition for installation. Error code: 0x80070057. Anything else i can try? I didn't think it mattered that i chose the quickest wipe from DBAN...does it?

thanks all! it finally worked. I went back and did DBAN again, but this time i used that gutmann wipe. I checked to see if ACHI was enabled (it already was)...additionally I'm not sure what hot plug means, but i enabled all of those as well (what does it mean?)
