printer doesn't work

[/b]My Dell printer worked fine with my laptop until I recently signed up for Vorion DSL and installed their modem and security package, which required deinstalling McAfee.

Now when I click print, I get this message: "No printers are installed."

However, when I unplug and replug the USB cord, I hear the little bell suggesting the printer has been recognized.

When I go to the "printer" area of the control panel and click on "view installed printer," no printer shows.

Next I try "install printer." I get this message: "Operation can't be completed. Spooler service is not running."

Can anyone help? Thanks.
