Hello, I would like to move 2 sets of sata raid 0 drives (4 drives in total) from a chaintech znf3-250 (sil 3114 raid chip) to a new computer. I have not bought this new computer yet, but would like to know:

a) is it possible to move sata raid 0 drives and still have the data be intact?
b) are there restrictions, such as they need to move to a mobo with the same sata controller?

NOTE: my current computer has died, so ghosting will not work. Oh, and I know I should have backed up :)

thank you in advance, david

If it is another sil 3114 raid chip, you have a chance of doing it..
Odds are not great imo... regardless, back them up and have two seperate verified copies of each for insurance if you need the files.
