I've been shopping for a photo scanner, and been looking at the Epson perfection 1650. According to the specs I've read, the photo version is just the basic version plus a 35mm film adapter, is this right? So they have the same scan quality? Is the film adapter needed if I want to scan some film negatives? I don't really have any slides, but it would be nice to be able to scan some old negatives.

Thanks for any replies.

The perfection 1650 photo has the 35mm film adapter built into the lid.so you just put film negatives into the lid not a sep, adapter
