If one is using HP PocketPrint on an IPAQ, that has Wi-fi capability via
SDIO Wi-Fi card, is it possible to print to a wi-fi enabled printer with it?
(I know it is possible to print with Pocket Print via Bluetooth, I'm
wondering if it supports Wi-Fi as well.)

It works through WiFi as well, you have to define your printer as a network
printer.

As long as you are using a network card you can print to any supported
printer (with the exception of IR only printers and Bluetooth printers).
That means you can print to a printer directly connected to your network
with an IP address like 192.168.1.245 or to a printer attached to a computer
\\myComputer\printer1 hope that helps.

But what if the wi-fi printer is set up as an ad-hoc connection, no router?

Ad-hoc should still have an IP address for each station, I would think
** Can't be sure since I've never tried it, I've only got an AP here.

The pocketpc will need to be part of the ad-hoc network, and you will list
the IP address of the network printer. But the HP printer program should not
care about how you connect. If you can ping it. It should work.

How do you ping with a PPC? The PPC does show that it is connected to the
ad-hoc wireless network of the printer.

With the HP PocketPrint app on my IPAQ, I went to Print configuration, chose
Network, then "Specify Network Printer". I chose the manufacturer and model
of the printer, and put in its IP address (192.168.0.10), and printer name.
I clicked "Print Test Page", and nothing printed.

Should the connection be set as "Internet" or "Work", in Settings,
Connection, Advanced, Network Adapter?
