I'd appreciate any recommendations for a music player which meets at
least the following requirements please:
- Must have WMA support
- Makes it easy to create and edit playlists
- Is easy to use in practice, not just nice to look at, e.g:
-- decent size buttons
-- clear indication of what is playing
-- where it stands in the current playlist
-- how long it is
-- easy toggling of Shuffle and Repeat
-- etc

Other features, especially all the real estate some players give to
Equalizers and other controls, are tolerable (they seem popular, so I
suppose all players implement them), but in my case they're actually
unwanted.

I had a good combination working: WMP plus CEPlaylist. But
unfortunately the latter is no longer supported and has some serious
bugs that make it unreliable. So, after research, I tried Pocket
Player and Pocket Music. I chose the latter ( a marginal decision),
but frankly I'm not happy with it. Mainly because its playlist
management is awkward/confusing IMO. For example, there are TWO
'current playlists', with two methods of reaching them, and they don't
agree, or give clear indication of what is playing. And little things
irritate, like there being no display of how long the present track
is, etc.

Thanks.

Have you tried Betaplayer? Great freeware media player for PPC, plays movies
and music.

Thanks, downloaded and will try soon. If it's for movies, may be a bit
overkill though?
