Help Removing Heat sink from CPU!

I am upgrading my AMD from a 3000+ to a 3700+. I unlocked my fan/heatsink with that black lever shown in the picture, but couldn't get it to come off. How do I do this? I don't want to break anything. I have the Thermaltake Venus 7+.

When I DO get it off, I was just going to clean off the old Arctic Silver from the heatsink with some isopropyl alcolhol and let it dry then reapply it for the new CPU. Anything else I should look out for?

Well, first of all I need to get the heatsink off!

Nevermind, I figured it out. But now I have a BIGGER problem. :x
