Will a micro ATX case fit in an ATX case?

I am building an office pc for someone and like the Nvidia 6100 boards. Integrated Audio and Video to keep costs low, but with PCI-E x16 & PCI for expansion.

For some reason I feel certain an ATX case will accomodate a micro ATX motherboard. (which would be handy because the pc is going under a desk and has to be tall enough for the optical drive to be accessable)

Problem is that I can't recall where that bit of information got into my head, its definately not first hand information.

So am I making this up or are they compatible?

Thanks, thats what I thought, but it would have been real embarassing if I bought the parts for the build and found out I was wrong.
