Hi, I've just built my first computer, and I'm obsessing over the temperature readings according to speedfan. I've got a 7200 RPM hard drive, and its avg temperature so far is around 55-56 C. I've read that this is normal for a 7200 rpm drive, but do you think I should still get a fan for the drive?

Also, which reading is my CPU reading? The speedfan readings are like:

temp1: 29C
temp2: 38C
temp3: 21C
hd0: 56C
temp1: 40C

I'm thinking that the last one is probably my CPU reading (A64 3700 san diego), but I'm not too sure... thanks for any info you can give me!

ok cool thanks. I've got two 120 mm case fans currently, one front, one back. Both are blowing outwards though, I guess the front one is supposed to be blowing inwards onto the hard drive? The drive is located in the front too.

I don't got much gear inside, only 1 HD, 1 7900 gt, and the aforementioned processor. No OCing going on, either.

Also, what does PWM stand for?

edit: ok, the HD temp is now down to 50C, hopefully that's good enuff.
