I am trying to trouble shoot a problem with a Lexmark Z65 printer. The
printer is only about two years old, however, it started not printing
correctly.
Sending a job to the printer begins to pull the paper through and the
printer attempts to print. The page is form feed down about halfway
down the page, prints the text and then feed to almost the end of the
document and prints another blob of text. Finally the printer ejects
the page and then prints the remaining portion of the submitted
document on a new page or at the very edge of the first page.
It does this when trying to print a test page. I have checked the
print cartridges (black/white and color). They are new within the past
few months and are no where near being empty. I went through the
trouble shooting guide of the printer and tried "cleaning" the
cartridges. Re-aligning and other options that were given in the self
help area. Nothing has worked and the problem continues.
The paper feed acts as though it is loose, but I cannot find any lever
or manner in which to tighten the paper feed. Is this fixable or does
it need to be sent into Lexmark to be fixed/replaced?
