Hello,
I am trying to hook my computer up to a new router, a linksys. my husbans computer hooked right up but mine wont.. he has a windows vista and I have windows 7 could that be the reason I can't connect? the security key doesn't seem to be working

It is possible that your router is configured to only allow 1 computer to connect via wireless. You can specify the starting address that the first computer will be assigned, then the maximum number of addresses allowed. One way you could test for this is to disconnect your husband's computer, then try and connect yours.
