I have heard of frame rate monitors that you can have on the screen while you play games. Anyone know if there is a free one out there and where can I get one?

Only if you have a game capable of well over 60fps and have vsync enabled (in other words, FRAPS only ever shows 60fps when the game is actually at 60fps).

FRAPS is a good choice, and works quite well.

well i have vsync on and in WoW it wont pass 60 and thats on any res and any graphics settings..

Thats the point of Vsync: Keep the frames from going over 60, to make the game

a: Run smoother (less of a drop off in FPS)
b: Make sure the screen is always updated properly

Turn off Vsync, and your FPS can go above your screen refresh rate (60 in this case)
