You need to tell us what brand of video card or adapter you have.
If you happen to have a NVIDIA card or adapter, right-click on
your desktop and select:

Properties > Settings > Advanced > GeForce (tab) > NVRotate
and change the setting to "Landscape (0 degree rotation)".

Some of the current display cards and drivers support screen rotation.
Check Display> Settings> Advanced for the needed setting to make this right
again. I have an ATI card and the drivers provide a "Rotation" tab. nVidia
drivers have a different name for the feature but the term used is similar.

She's probably set the monitor for East Asian settings, that turns it
sideways, especially as we approach the equinox, with its higher earth flux
levels. BTW, if I use European settings from my home country in New Zealand,
the screen display is completely upside down. HTH

I don't know what kind of Video Board you have but some
(i.e. NVidia) leave a icon in the tray that actually
allows you to rotate the screen. Check for it.
