Graphics card bsod?

So i was trying to use my tv as my monitor duo display and was having problems getting a picture on the tv after a while of changing the cables i noticed a bsod on my computer after looking what may of caused it and finding nothing i once again tried to set up the tv as a monitor i tried changin the resolution of the screen size and i got another bsod i wasnt able to take down the information in time and the pc restarted i noticed that when windows came up the colour sceem of the monitor was messed up (collours and dark lines on the screen) iv shut it down incase somthing else happens and iv had alook inside but i cant figure out what is the problem any ideas

What kind of graphics card are we talking about here? OS? I would suspect that it may be a driver issue. But we won't know until we have a bit more info.

its a ati sapphire card i wouldnt of thought it was the drive iv had it in for 2 weeks so far and this hasnt happend befor today
