Hello Dalli,

I know you're still up. Take a look at this projector and tell me if it
can be used to project the flight sim views on a large screen. I don't
know anything about these things and it doesn't mention being used as a
large monitor screen.

Hi boB,

I once rent the phillips XG1. This things are very noisy and get very warm.
You need much room and a very smooth white wall, to use them and you
have to decide, whether you sit in its way, or it stands in your way. All in
all it was a nice experience, to fly with this large screen, but I would
never
buy one because of all the disadvantages.

If you have the possibility to rent one, do this before buying.

I don't know... if you want to send me one I'd be happy to evaluate it for
you.

Very good idea.
I think my dad still has the old viewing screen he used for our 8mm home
reels. That would probably work too, right?

Too bad I don't have the space to set that, the projector and my pc up in
the same room. But I sure like the idea. Imagine being able to get three
different views one one big screen!
This could be the future of home simming!

Still....it's quite an investment!

Renting sounds like a good idea. Thanks... The info I read for one of
them indicated you needed 8 1/2 feet between projector and screen. I
had a 8mm type screen also, you just caused me to realize it's missing.
I do still have the super 8MM projector though.
