I want to set up a home network with four computers. I have a dsl connection, external USB modem. What do I use to connect it to a hub?

Hmm. I think most USB modems have network out too. But in case you do not, I guess you need to setup a proxy server to share connection. The proxy server is discussed in the previous thread

If it does not have a network connection on your modem, just have 2 ethernet cards in the machine you will set up as proxy and use a program like Sygate or even Internet Connection Sharing from MS.
