System locks up when I try to run CSS in widescreen mode

When I try to run CSS in widescreen the screen gets messed up and the system freezes. Before it would reboot after it was like that for a minute so I turned off the auto reboot. It will still reboot though. I just replace the PSU so I determined that is not the problem. Is it the graphics card or could something be wrong with the MOBO and processor? Please help! THanks

Does it happen in other games and display modes?

If it's only one specific game, at one specific setting, then it's a bug in the game.

Failing that, the symptoms sound like a memory issue to me. Run Memtest86.

I had this problem with WoW, as far as I knew it was that game only.

My problem was the drivers. Changing them didn't help. It's just that the drivers didn't like working in that game in full screen mode...plopped it to windows maximized and all is peachy now.

Probably not the solution, but meh, worth a mention me thinks
