When will the 8 series card release?

Ok i thought there was already a thread about this but i cant find it, does anybody know about when the Nvidia 8 series cards will release and also when the ATI X2XXX series will release.

No one here can tell you when. We can speculate though.
Obviously the R600 is going to be a unified shader design.
Therefore this implies it will either preceed or follow the
launch of Vista. Possibly mid to late Fall.

ok so i wouldnt hit my self in the head if the bought a 7900GT now. because it seems like newegg is slowly rasing the prices on the 7900's. ~10$ every week it seems.
