Did you hit F6 and install the ide and raid drivers for your motherboard during the install? Also check the device manager for any other issues on drivers.

Definately memory. I remember when I was pushing my redline to the "redline" I would get random restarts on BF Vietnam...I thought hm, must be my video card overheating and thus I got a new video card cooler...
That didn't help. When I reset all BIOS defaults, it was fine. Problem turned out to be memory CAS latency was too low at 1.5 and fsb was too high too. Certainly was worth a try though :O
BTW what kind of ram did you have to RMA?

I have the corsair xms unbuffered (2x512) 3200c2pt supposed to be 2-3-3-6 1T, bios said 3-3-3-8 2T. I changed in bios to spec, and bumped from 2.6(spec) up to 2.7v. I mean, supposed to be good stable mem. Reduced back to 2.6v but left timings the same. The one stick has no probs, so deduced by swapping back in forth that had 1 bad stick.. Got this xms cause suppose to be problem free. Heard that redline is good stuff and cant get anymore.

I figured better than ide, since board offered it. I dont understand why causes icon to come up or recognized like a usb port ?? First system build

It comes up with the "Safely Remove" icon because SATA harddrives are hot-swappable. This means that you can uninstall and install SATA drives while the computer is still on. So in a way, they are like a USB drive.
