:D hi everyone.
i'm new in the area.i want to bulid myself a system recently.as a beginner of DIYer,i really need some opinions from you guys.the System needn't to be a special game rig cause i don't play the 3D games too much.(sometimes....actually)and some graphics work....and the cost i can afford is about 1500 bucks.

Your opinions are always welcome.
Thanks.

I'm gonna assume a few things,

1) You have minor gaming (as you said)
2) You'll use this for average-everyday activties (email, internet, etc. etc.)
3) You need a copy of Windows, Monitor, and keyboard/mouse too

Here's a good system for you (I included both companies to be unbiased):

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ OR Intel Pentium 4 630
Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI OR Foxconn 925XE7AA-8EKRS2 Socket T
GPU: nVidia GeForce 6600GT OR ATI Radeon x800GT
RAM: 1GB (512MB x2) PC3200 Corsair ValueSelect (For AMD) OR Corsair ValueSelect PC24200 DDR2 (For Intel)
HDD: Western Digital 250GB SATA
Case: Thermaltake Tsunami
Key/Mouse: Microsoft Standard Combo (At any eTailer or Retailer for $30ish)
Monitor: DAEWOO L1711MN Silver 17" LCD OR ENVISION ECT710g Black 17" CRT
Speakers: Logitech X-530 70 Watts 5.1
OS: Windows XP Home (Or Pro if you so desire)

That's a good system for mild gaming and everyday use, it also won't hit your $1500 so you can have alot to customize. You might want to change alot, or a little, but thats a good outline to begin with if you're a newbie and want to get some experience. If you want links to that or reasons why I chose this, drop a post here or PM me.

Good post, good setup. Change the monitor to a 19-inch Viewsonic or other name brand.
