when i try to run windows7 setup.exe on my windows xp it says ms dos 16 bit error .windows cannot create a temporary folder or check whether the application path c:\documents \user\local\temp\ exists. what to do ?

does it do that on multiple retries installing W7?

You are booting from the Win 7 DVD and not tring to run Win 7 setup from XP??

i am installing from hard drive itself .
