I own a mobile pc repair company and find myself on the go a lot. I've been looking for the perfect bag to carry all the crap I need to bring.

Required: laptop + psu, cd case, basic tools + light, usb->ide adapter + sata adapters, cables, psu tester, desktop and laptop hd's, memory.

Desired: router, mobile printer, nics, directional antenna, mouse, air duster, epoxy

I normally mix up what I bring due to the nature of the job but it'd be really nice to have all that available... nice but where the hell do I put it?

If anyone out there feels my pain, throw me a suggestion or two. I've been looking around for a while on ebay and can't seem to find anything that's really perfect for the job.

Try using Wingy's scrotum. I hear it's quite capacious.

hmm not sure, you'd have to go hit some supply stores. My ex is a tech, when he got his little USB drive he was tickled pink, till he started banging it around and dropping it. So, we went shopping, think at staples, we started looking for cases to hold this thing. In the end, picked up a padded camera case for it. Worked like a charm.

I'm sure if you hit some of those office stores (like staples) you'll find something :)

ooh, thinkin some more, Camera people have some monster, super padded bags for their shitloads of camera equip. Look for those!

Technician's tool case: http://www.lanshack.com/Technician [...] -C104.aspx

Also look at salesman's sample case. Room for lots of stuff, strong enough to sit on while waiting for the bus/tow truck.

Also check for pilot case. Cavernous enough to hide bricks in and never even realize they're there (except for the lopsided gait and the knuckles dragging on the ground - one side only).

Umm, Also try a pullman.

Now, since Grub doesn't show up often enough:

[Grub]DIE NEWBIE. DIE!!![/Grub]

If they were here, they didn't need a case after meeting Wingding. :P

The perfect technician bag is the one that never lets your Scope get banged or the barrel exposed to moisture.

I have had many lets see the best one I ever had was one I took apart and rebuilt custom to my tool needs.

No one feels your fcuking pain. No one cares about your problem of how your going to drag all your shyte around with you.
Can't find it on ebay...waaaaa....get off your ass and go shopping.
Buy a forklift. Get a Llama. Use a boat trailer. Hire some Sherpas. Steal a grocery cart.
Put it all in a clay pot and balance it on your head...whatever.
Don't bring your super-geek-wannabe shyte in here ever again.
