Cannot Print Large Bitmap Separation with Epson 3000

I have an 11" wide x 16" tall bitmap color separation (1 layer of an
eps file) that will not print using an Epson 3000 printer through
CorelDraw 11. I have the latest driver from Epson and have no problem
printing images about half as tall or any size vector image.

The problem seems to be a flaw in the Windows XP spooler, because when
I try to print I get a printer job icon in the tool tray that remains
there for several minutes and then disappears at about the time one
would expect the printer to begin printing.

Any ideas?
