I am going to buy a new PSU. but the only power supply i can get are
01. SolarMax 400W
02. ACBell 400W
03. ISO (something like that) 300W
I have searched the net for SolarMax but found no articles about it. my friend is using the ACBell PSU but he said to me that it is not good. Has any one of you know about the SolarMax 400W PSU. please tell me if its any good. Currently i have Codegen 350W supply. it worked fine until a component was burned. I have repaired it but i have noticed some times the hard drives are not detected. I have also noticed that the ATX connection on the main board is getting black (fryin). Does this mean that it cannot provide enough power. :?:

This is the cheapest power supply I would trust
cooler master 430W is just over $40 shipped.

Hopefully your mobo is not damaged by the dead power supply! It sounds like it may not be trusted at this point....

I haven't heard of any of those PSU mfrs. What are the amp ratings on the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails? What components do you have in your PC?
