Simple question. gf6600GT vs. gf7800GS

How much better is the 7800GS over the 6600GT ?
I know I can just look at benchmarks, but I hope someone can tell me of an actual observation. Can you notice a big difference in gameplay?

GOing from an 8-pipe 128-bit card to a 16-pipe 256-bit card will allow you to play at higher resolutions with decent levels of AA & AF that the 6600 GT can't handle.

It's about twice as good at high res with eye candy. If you only play at 1024x768 with no AA/AF, it won't make as much of a difference though.
