SLI 2x8 vs 2x16... worth the upgrade?

Does anyone know what kind of performance difference there is between a mobo with 2x8 SLI vs 2x16? I have an ASUS A8N Deluxe with 2x8 with two 7800GTXs in SLI and am wondering if it's worth it to upgrade the mobo.

From what others have posted on this forum regarding this topic, there is currently no benefit to having 2x16 over 2x8 - it's just marketing.

No, the bandwidth provided by the 8x2 interfae is plenty for SLI operation. The only reason to consider upgrading the board is to get rid of the Deluxe model of the A8N-SLI, as it can show stability issues when overclocking.
