Just wondering if they were maybe tesing out a new jet or something..

The smell alone would kill thousands.

There's some tasty tidbits on possible X-Planes floating around A51 in the latest issue of Popular Science. Probably old news by now, but still interesting.

Reply to Anoobis

Whereas Wingy's whanger is usually found in Not So Popular Science.

Indeed. But it also appears frequently in the David Hasslehoff Bum-Fun Monthly.

And, of course, it is in Oprah daily....

(or whenever she will let you in!)

I'm quite selective about my publications. I do however feature heavily in the Oprah Yeast Infection Special, which is a monthly edition that features close-ups of me lapping greedily at the eggy discharge from her filthy gash. Looks like creme caramel gone wrong.

However a red sky in the Evening is indicated by different waves of light being blocked by the Earths atmosphere allowing much of the red light through and blocking out the other light in the spectrums like blue and green. So a high plying contrail off a Jet would not be effected by the Earths atmosphere blocking the other colors of the spectrum and the contrail would look exactly like it did a Burning streak of fire turning a corner.

So if not light from the sun on white water vapour then what was it hmm..

SoD...that's ridicules.

Reply to _WW_

It's SoD, did you really expect anything else.......?

He's soaring to new heights! [/pun]

Reply to _WW_

Yeah.. for once, you actually said something that is backed up by fact. Light warps around the earth and what not, spreading out the spectrum.

White is also all the colors combined.

I'm guessing it was some type of new spy jet they're testing at extreme altitudes.. Go USA.

Like I said.... The slush Hydrogen fueled Aurora....

No actual image exists as this thing isn't supposed to exist....But they didn't retire the SR71 without a replacement now did they. :?

Good afternoon Dave. A less clear account of Rayleigh dispersion I've yet to hear. Mie's dispersion might be better used to describe any interaction of sunlight with contrails from a jet. I'm sure you already knew that, thank you for dumbing it down so much that it made no sense what so ever.

Reply to Tom_Smart

I heard about that plane years ago though.. like the SR-71 wasn't know about for how long?

I think my dad said back in '67 he was on a golf course in Okinawa and watched one land. They had no clue what it was when they saw it. He said he was later told a little about what it was and that he never saw it.

Exactly what I said before you did :P

P.S not a pulse jet we have all seen those contrails at least online or in the news.

Reply to SoDNighthawk

Oh my its the short little fooker still got a tongue he was away so long I thought someone beat the crap out of it and left it smoking in a gutter.

Any time your MAN enough TOMMY to stand in my face let me know until then keep hiding your a Master Coward. :?

Reply to SoDNighthawk

Whoa. Apparently there's some history between SoDNighthawk and tomsmart.

Reply to Anoobis

YES I imagine its a shorter history at his end :o

Nothing gets my balls all wrapped up in a knot like a short little botch like TomSmart with a Fat mouth no fighting skills and less brains, all of witch would occur in that order if he ever walked into my Shadow.

P.S Grrr :P

Reply to SoDNighthawk

Not sure why this even made the news...I live in the area and see this quite a bit.

NASA still operates 2 SR71s (3 counting the 2 seat trainer) for "high speed flight testing". However, unusually, they are not painted in the standard NASA white with blue trim livery, but retain their original flat black paint.

Good afternoon Dave. Tell me where how and when you'd like this challenge to take place. Please don't make it an online game, you chickened out last time. Long memory for a short little fcuker like me, is that a surprise?

Reply to Tom_Smart

Yes, he used to be my favourite clown, now he's just my Dumb Dave toy. It's not really personal, the silly fcuker just can't, sorry 'cant' resist biting every time I wind him up. Like everyone else, he has an ignore button. Unlike everyone else he is too stupid to figure it out.
