when i try to install windows 7 it says invalid pif file.i checked for the pif files extensions autoexec.nt and config.nt in windows\system32 \and i indeed found them.
is there any way to solve this problem? please reply.

hey ill try and help you but i need some more information like is it the 32 bit or 64 bit os and what pc specs do you have?

thank u for your reply.
mine is 16 and 32 bit compatible laptop.
the windows 7 i am trying to install is 32[86] bit version.
when the trial version worked for me i dont understand why this is causing problem .

please reply.

are you using upgrdae id try and do a clean install if not you could try use the hard drive on a diffrent laptop and install it there also have you use windows 7 upgrade advisor to make sure its compatable?

i used windows 7 upgrade advisor ,it says ok with installation .

my pc doesnt have a dvd drive . so i am installing from hard drive itself.

Your Win7 iso might be corrupt, make sure you get a proper/original copy.
