HI,
i Have a 7800 gtx 450/1250 stock, when i overclock to 488/1320, mind u that's using detect optimal frequencies. My picture when playing games tends to go a bit funny, like little chops in the picture everywhere. What is this??

Those lines and other stuff are called artifacts. Yeah, that means your card can't handle it. So try adjusting the clock speed manually starting from the stock speed of 450 until you hit the fastest speed without the artifacts. You can put more juice to the card, meaning increase the voltage to make it more stable. However, be very careful in adding more voltage as it can overheat or fry your graphics card.
