Hy guys,I have a 2600+ barton and a K7n2 ultra MSI board, the cpu runs by default at 1912 Gzh and stays at about 45'C, 2X256 ddr400 ram and a 9600se by asus. The motherboard has fsb jumpers and they are set to 166.
Now,how should I proced with oc. my cpu:
1- By raising the fsb in bios
2-Changing the motherboards jumpers to 200 fsb
the second way seems to easy,is that the right way to oc. this cpu?

well... im not 100% positive, but i think the jumper pin settings lock the FSB inside of a certain range of speeds, so to move beyond setting the FSB at 199 MHz in the BIOS for example, you would need to adjust the jumper pin setting to 200MHz first... and then you should be free to adjust the FSB in the BIOS upwards even more to an extent (i think), but not below 200MHz again... not without readjusting the jumper first...

If your statement is right then I probably wont be able to boot with fsb jumpers set to 200,the fsb in bios would be under 200 from previousely jumper seting. What do you think.........what can I do

well, just to be safe, i would set the FSB setting in the BIOS to 166 before you change the jumper setting to 200... i would also decrease the memory speed and relax its timings too, so the memory doesnt become overclocked either, to ensure you can boot as well... if it successfully boots, you can experiment with memory settings, slowly though
