Hi, I'm looking for an inkjet printer with a parallel port to match my print
server. They're quite hard to find in the cheaper models, so I was thinking
of buying a used one.
I need to be able to print long (7" x 40" ) photos. The HP 930C has a maximum
paper length of 14", but also has a Banner mode.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to print a 40" photo on this printer, or
recommend any other models (preferably not Epson) that will do this?

Hi Mike,
I have a 930c printer and would be glad to attempt a 7"x40" print if you
could email me a file of that size.

I've been happy with the printer. I've had it a few years though, and I'm
ready to upgrade.

Text quality superb, photo quality OK but easily bettered by anything else
these days. I sold mine 18 months ago, it's still running fine for the new
owner. I tried a long panorama printout once and it wouldn't do it.

Steve
Unfortunately, anything else these days at a sane price is USB only, and I
must have parallel.

I tried banner and everything else I could think of at the time.
