Hi, I will be receiving a brand new Pentium 840 Extreme Edition Dual Core soon and for financial reasons I will be selling it rather then using it. I was just wondering what kind of price I should expect to get for it if I sold it on eBay? Im in the UK by the way, so if any UK members have an idea, please let me know, but I would also be interested in international prices too.

You realize that to make money like this, you have to buy in quantity...

So buy several and multiply your profits!

They retail for $955 on Pricewatch, listing several vendors seling above that price, where $955 is the best prices in the U.S.A.

Due to the VAT in the UK, you might be able to get 600-800 pounds or more...

500-550 pounds should do well.

Well I bought it for about £340, so hopefully some profit in it for me.

To RichPLS, how would I go about buying cheaper in quantity? I might give it a try! :D

If you can get some 150-170-ish profit that would be fair enough.

What I would do is mark the box CONROE and stick it on ebay for as high a price as you want and watch it sell fast.  8O

100$ ?
So that even your little money thats left after buying so many AMDs is sufficient to finally get a proper CPU?

That's what I'd do with my little brother's p3 400MHz. Imagine the look on the buyer's face when they find out :). I'd pay to see that.

Second chance offer on eBay when the seller didn't even make his reserve.
