Windows 7 Pro x64 Downgrade to Home x64

Hello, I need to know if there was a way to downgrade from Pro to Home without any troubles and still keep all of my stuff on there or to completely wipe everything and do a clean install of Home? My key has been blocked for some unknown reason and cannot be activated, I do have a family pack of Home that I bought as backup. Which way would be easier?

you cannot downgrade

you can try calling microsoft to re-activate it if it is a legitimate copy.

otherwise you need to re-install win7 since you cant downgrade

Where did you get this key? If it's legit you should be able to contact MS and sort it out.

Either you are giving up way too easily or else you know that your copy is not legit. Follow the advice of the others and call Microsoft - why would anyone not do that with software costing several hundred dollars?

(On the other hand, if you know that your copy is not legit then you're just going to have to start over.)

Do you need to activate Windows 7? I haven't noticed a reason to yet. But I have several legit copies, so I do anyways.

It eventually stops working properly if you don't, so yes.

I got the copy for free from school through the MSDAA and other MIcrosoft OSs.

If the key has been blocked I suggest you ask the school about it.
