I already have 2gb's of CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Dual Channel Kit memory, but I also have a 1gb stick of
Ultra ULT31664 memory that I would like to add. Will this slow my system down?

Yes. You will actually lose dual channel capability and your system will default from 1T to 2T on your ram timing. Which the 2 combined far out weigh any benefits from more ram. Besides as of right now there are not a lot of situations that call for more than 2gigs. If you wanted to add a little performance you could go to a faster ram with better timings. Like a 2x1gig 2.2.3.5. 1T
