Re: Single 7900GTX or 2x 7900 GT in SLI?

I'm putting together a new gaming comp for the first time in 4 years, and the only think I haven't figured out is whether I should go with a single 7900GTX graphics card, or 2 7900 GTs in SLI.

I'm thinking 2 7900 GTs would be better for games, but the 7900GTX is a little cheaper... plus (when prices come down) I could add a 2nd 7900GTX...

Thoughts?

I'd say go for the two 7900GT because it's cheaper and besides it outperforms my 7800GTX so you know that the cards are good. So basically you spend as much than a single 7900GTX 256. But buying one 7900GTX wouldn't be a bad idea as you mention that the card price would drop and get a second one to go SLI.
